Difficult to relocate beverages outlets HC told

: Kerala State Beverages Corporation today informed the High Court that it is very difficult to relocate their outlets at National and State Highways.

An affidavit in this regard was filed today pursuant to the earlier direction of the court to shift, relocate all the corporation's outlets on highways and service roads.

The corporation stated that there are currently 304 retail outlets in Kerala, excluding 34 shops closed with effect from October 2 this year and some of which are located along the national and state highways.

Identifying suitable buildings satisfying norms will be a difficult process, it was stated in the affidavit filed by Company Secretary, John Joseph in an appeal filed by K P Mohammed.
 

Mohammed had complained of frequent accidents and traffic congestion due to the functioning of the outlets run by the Beverages Corporation.
