Dikshit greets people on Chhath puja

"This festival provides an opportunity to worship the Sun God," the Chief Minister said, adding "the festival would be celebrated with joy and religious fervour like all other festivals."

Dikshit said that Delhi is home to persons belonging to the different states.

Mukesh Sharma, Parliamentary Secretary of Dikshit, also conveyed greetings to citizens and praised the contribution of 'poorvanchallis' in Delhi's development.

Chhath puja is celebrated by people from eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
