Disabled couple killed in road mishap in UP

A disabled couple were killed and their two children injured when a car hit them on Delhi-Dehradun National Highway near Bhangela village in this district, police said.

The accident occurred last evening when a speeding car hit them, killing the couple, following which the car driver fled the spot, they said.

The bodies of the couple have been sent for postmortem, police said, adding, the two children aged between eight to 10 years were admitted to a hospital in serious condition.

The identity of the couple is yet to be ascertained.
