Discom employee arrested for molesting girl

A 58-year-old employee of a power distribution company has been arrested for allegedly molesting a girl at a government dispensary in the Nehru Nagar area of southeast Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday while the 19-year-old girl and accused Gyan Prakash were waiting for their turns to be examined at the dispensary, a senior police official said.

"While waiting, Gyan started molesting the victim," said the official.

The victim raised the alarm, after which people there beat up Gyan. Later, police was called.

A case has been registered.

"Based on the girl's complaint, police have arrested him and further investigations are on," the official added.
