Disney developing adventure movie on Charles Darwin

Disney has started work on a film about English naturalist and geologist Charles Darwin, after acquiring an untitled pitch from Oscar-winning scribe Stephen Gaghan.

The writer will also direct the project, which is an adventure movie based on Darwin's Indiana Jones-like spirit, reported Variety.

Darwin established that all species of life have descended from common ancestors in his 1859 book "On the Origin of Species.
