Disney introduces network's first same sex couple

Disney Channel introduced its first same-sex couple during an episode of American sitcom 'Good Luck Charlie'.

The episode shows two lesbian mothers Susan and Cheryl, who drop off their daughter Taylor for a play date, reported Variety.

Former Disney star Miley Cyrus had lauded the channel for the move last year.

"I commend Disney for making this step into the light of this generation," Cyrus had tweeted at the time.
