A case of disproportionate assets was registered against the tehsildar of Raigad district by the Thane Range ACB today, an official release by the ACB said today.
The release said that an enquiry conducted by the ACB revealed that tehsildar Yuvraj K Banghar, who has been suspended had amassed wealth (Rs 58.28 lakh) disproportionate to his known sources of income, during his service in government departments between 2005 and 2013, the ACB release said.
The ACB said that it registered an offence against Bangar with the Karjat police under Sections 13 (1)(3) along with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1998.
The further investigations into the case are being carried out by the Raigad unit of the Thane Range, it was stated.
