DJ Caruso in talks to direct 'GI Joe 3'

DJ Caruso, who directed the Shia LaBeouf hits 'Disturbia' and 'Eagle Eye', is in talks to direct 'GI Joe 3'.

The 49-year-old 'I Am Number Four' director is in early negotiations with Paramount, Deadline reported.

If Caruso does sign on to direct, the filmmaker would work alongside Dwayne Johnson. The 'Fast and Furious' actor is said to be the headlining star of the third installment.

Jon M Chu directed the first sequel 'GI Joe: Retaliation', which grossed USD 372 million worldwide.

Caruso is currently filming the upcoming release 'The Disappointments Room', starring Kate Beckinsale and Lucas Till.
