The Dakshina Kannada District Football Association (DKDFA) would organise a football tournament for various categories of youth from primary to college levels, to celebrate the 20th year of its formation.
The tournament would be held between July 21 and August 15, 2016 at Nehru Maidan in the city, a release here said.
The winners would be awarded trophy and cash prizesand special prizes would be awarded to the best player, best goal keeper and best defender in both boys and girls categories.

The DKDFA was formed to harness talent in the field of football and in continuation of its efforts, a major tournament is being organised even this year to give a platform to the budding youth from the district, the organisers said.
Many football players from this association have represented the State and the country in various tournaments since the inception of DKDFA 19 years ago.
In the last season alone, seven players had represented the state and two players from Yenepoya University had taken part in the Karnataka State Level Football Championships, the release said.
