DMK, TMC functionaries join AIADMK

Party functionaries, including those from DMK, today joined AIADMK in the presence of party General Secretary and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

Senior DMK functionaries G Vijayakumari and S Kanmani, Tamil Maanila Congress' Tiruvallur (North) Youth Wing Secretary K Arun Prasad and actor 'Bonda' Mani among others joined the party, an AIADMK release here said.

Jayalalithaa handed over the primary membership cards to them.

Jayalalithaa gave away five motorised sewing machines to a woman who had lost her leg in a mishap, the release added.

The chief minister also gave Rs 25,000 from the 'Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Best Charitable Trust,' to the woman, who had appealed to her for aid, it said.
