At least 100 DMK workers were
arrested today in nearby Pollachi, when they attempted to take out protest procession and "present" sari, bangles and other gift articles to the local AIADMK MLA and Deputy Speaker in the State Assembly, Pollachi V Jayaraman for voting in favour of Edapadi Palanisamy during the floor test.
One of the workers wore the mask of Jayaraman and after garlanding him with flowers and placing a silver plate on his hand, they took out a procession at some distance, carrying sari and gift atricles, they said.
All of them were arrested and seized the articles they were carrying, police said.
