Vigilance sleuths arrested a doctor and an attendant of a community health centre in Odisha's Sundergarh district today while they were accepting gratification money from a tour operator.
They were caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 from the tour operator to pass the bill tof Rs 1,20,000 owards payment of hire charges of a vehicle, officials said.
The tour operator had drawn the attention of the vigilance sleuths, who laid the trap and caught the duo red-handed.
The bribe money was recovered and a case has been registered against them under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
