A woman was severely injured in a clash that started after her dog allegedly urinated in a flower pot outside her neighbour's house in east Delhi's Kalyanpuri area, police said today.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when Ramani Chaudhary's son Devesh was walking their dog around 9 PM and it urinated on a flower pot kept outside the house of Brij Lal, whose son Manish hit the canine and that triggered a fight between the two families, said a senior police official.

Later, Manish's brother Anuj and his father came out and hit Devesh, whose family, including Ramani, too jumped in to intervene, added the officer.

Ramani sustained injuries in the head as she was hit by a stick and is currently admitted in GTB Hospital, the officer said, adding that Devesh was also injured in the fight.

A case has been registered under sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) IPC on complaint by Devesh, police said.

One of the accused, Manish, has been arrested while Lal and his other son Anuj are absconding, they added.
