Press Trust of India Chandigarh
Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Sanjay Kishan Kaul today asked judges to clear all cases of domestic violence and atrocities against women on a priority basis besides cases related to children, senior citizen and differently-abled persons.

Justice Kaul asked the courts to ensure time-bound clearance of all pending cases and asked legal luminaries to sensitise people on availing services of Lok Adalats for quick and timely justice.

Most cases could be disposed off by mutual consent, relieving courts from the burden of pending cases, he said adding, ambit of this practise would be enhanced in future.

Justice Kaul held a video conference with all 18 Districts and Session courts of Punjab and Chandigarh District Court.

All Session Judges, Additional Session Judges, Civil Judges (Senior Division), Chief Judicial Magistrates and other senior officials participated in the video conference.
