Driver arrested for theft

A car driver from Munnar in Kerala, who had stolen 102 sovereigns of gold and cash of a pilgrim who was staying in a hotel here, was arrested today, police said.

Superintendent of Police Mayilvahanan said the driver Zen Singh had stolen cash bag and jewels of a woman pilgrim who was staying in a hotel room last evening.

The driver was arrested after verifying the CCTV recordings in the hotel.
