Police today ordered a probe into an alleged incident of thrashing of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) bus driver by a police officer.
Drivers of Jnurm buses in the district went on strike after the assault of the driver by SHO of Goverdhan police station on yesterday.
"Deputy Superintendent of Police would conduct the inquiry," SSP Manjil Saini told a delegation of drivers.
The strike was called off this evening on the assurance of district police chief.
