Driver stops for a shave; truck rams jeep, 2 killed

A brief halt for a shave on way to a marriage ceremony proved costly as two persons died when their car was hit by a truck near Bhairuji here.

Four persons were in the jeep, travelling to a nearby place for the wedding reception. The driver decided to go for the shave and stopped the vehicle at the Bhairuji stand.

Then a truck hit the jeep, killing two persons, Dadiya SHO Ranveer Singh said.

One of the four was critically injured and was shifted to Jaipur.

The truck driver fled the spot.

A case has been registered against him, police said.
