Driver who made away with employer's cash bag held in Jaipur

A 32-year-old driver who allegedly fled away with a cash bag containing around 60 lakh rupees that his employer had left in his car, was arrested from Neem Ka Thana area today.

Accused driver Bhagat Singh was arrested on the complaint of his employer Subhash Chandra Tyagi, a grains trader who had left his bag containing Rs 60.50 lakh cash in his car on June 3, before entering a bank.

When Tyagi came out, he found that Singh was missing with the cash.

The driver's movement was put under surveillance and he was arrested today, Jaipur Commissioner, Sanjay Agarwal said.
 

Rs 55.94 lakh cash was also recovered from the driver, he said adding the accused has a criminal record with a murder case registered against him.
