Drug peddler arrested in J&K

A "notorious" drug peddler, wanted in a number of cases, was arrested today in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

Fayaz Ahmad Dar alias "Adha-Daz", a resident of Ganaie Hamam locality of Baramulla town, wanted in many cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act since 2006, was arrested, police said.

"Dar was a notorious cannabis supplier," they said, adding the accused has also been booked under the Public Safety Act.
