Drug smuggler arrested with one kg heroin

An alleged drug smuggler has been arrested with one kg narcotics worth around Rs 1 crore in the street market, police said today.

21-year-old Saddam Hussain, a native of Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan, was arrested on Januray 30.

The crime branch officials got a tip-off that Saddam was coming to Shani Mandir, near Hasan Pur Bus depot to supply a consignment of heroin to one of his contacts, said ACP (Crime) Ravindre Yadav.

A trap was laid and Saddam was arrested with the consignment, he said.
