Drunken youth succumbs to injuries

A 23-year-old youth succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, where he was admitted by a police patrol team that found him lying by the roadside in an inebriated state here.

The police patrol team noticed the profusely bleeding youth, identified as Shakir (23), on Kahjoori-Pushta road yesterday around 10 pm.

The youth was rushed to GTB Hospital in East Delhi where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Police were yet to ascertain how he suffered the wounds.

Shakir was a resident of Jahangir Puri in Northeast Delhi, they said.
