The appointment and promotion formula for permanent teachers of Delhi University (DU) was passed today by a sub-committee of the university.
The sub-committee was formed by DU Vice Chancellor and chairman of Academic Council Yogesh Kumar Tyagi to discuss the formula for appointment and promotion of permanent teachers.
The panel today met and passed the formula which will now be sent for approval of the Academic Council, said a member of the committee.
As per the formula, the appointment and promotion shall be based on merit. Out of total 100 marks, 25 marks each will be earmarked for academic and research activities while 20 marks will be allotted for interview, the member said.
Teaching and domain knowledge will carry 20 and 10 marks, respectively, he added.
