A 25-year-old man and his sister on a motorbike were today run over by a bus near Jhadia village, some 10 km from district headquarters, police said.
The deceased were identified as Anuj Dubey and Ruchi Dubey (20), both residents of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Civil Line Police Station Inspector Narendra Sharma said.
The officer said the bus ran over the duo from the rear side while they were on their way to Datia town from Sewda area of the district.
Following the mishap, the driver fled leaving the bus, which has been impounded, the Inspector added.
A case has been registered and efforts to nab the bus driver are on, said Sharma.
