Earthquake hits central Mozambique; no reports of casualties

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 has hit central Mozambique, but there are no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The US Geological Survey says the epicentre of the quake today was 34 kilometres northwest of the town of Dondo in Sofala province.
