Earthquake of 'slight' intensity rocks Assam

An earthquake of 4.3 magnitude in the Richter scale today rocked Assam at around 4.04 pm.
The Met office here said that the tremor was of "slight" intensity.
The epicentre of the quake was located at latitude 26.5 degree North and longitude 92.3 degree East in the region of Darrang in Assam. The tremor occurred at a depth of 10 km, the MET office added.

A report from Shillong said the moderate intensity
tremor was also felt in Meghalaya having the intensity of 4.3 on Richter Scale.
People felt the jolt in the Meghalaya capital at around 4:04 pm and came out in the open.
