Ed Sheeran to release new music this week

Singer Ed Sheeran will release his new music on this coming Friday following a year-long break from the work.

The 25-year-old singer-songwriter posted a clip on Twitter in which he waves to fans while smiling and holding up a paper with the message "New music coming Friday" written on it.

The star announced a year ago that he was "taking a break to travel the world and see everything I missed," but promised fans he would be back with his third album, which he called "the best thing I have made so far."

Sheeran's last album 'x' was released in June 2014.
