Edible, non-edible oils dip on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices dipped further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers.

Refined palmolein fell further following subdued offtake from retailers.

Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial eased further on weak demand from shippers and soap industries.

While linseed oil remained stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In edible segment, groundnut oil dropped by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 870 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 880 and refined palmolein also moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 523 from Rs 528.
 

Moving to non-edible section, castor seeds bold went down Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 4,625 from overnight closing level of Rs 4,640 and castor oil commercial eased by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 955 as against Rs 958 yesterday. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 750 per 10 kg.
