Edible oils drop in listless trade

Groundnut oil and refined palmolein dropped further in an otherwise listless Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following lower demand from stockists and retailers amid ample stocks.

While, castor oil commercial and linseed oil held stable in absence of any worthwhile buying.

Castorseeds bold prices unavailable today.

In edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 25 per 10 kg to Rs 925 from last Saturday's close of Rs 950 and refined palmolein slid by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 565 as against Rs 575 previously.

Moving to non-edible section, castoroil commercial and linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 785 per 10 kg and Rs 1,050 per 10 kg, respectively.
