Press Trust of India New Delhi
Parking fees in east Delhi areas are likely to go up with the standing committee of the east corporation today proposing a hike.

The EDMC in a statement today said that the hike would be on the lines of those effected by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).

The decision was under "active consideration" and comes in the wake of SDMC announcing the hike in parking rates.

As per the south corporation rates, for surface and multi-level parking facilities, hourly rate for cars has been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 20 and for two-wheelers from Rs 7 to Rs 10.

As per 24-hour parking facility, the revised rates will cost Rs 100 for cars and Rs 50 for two-wheelers. The revised rates will also make the motorists pay more for the day and night monthly passes.
