The proposed university will be named after Raman, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist, an officer of the AISECT's public relations department said here today.

The university, which will commence its first session from July 2018, will offer courses in engineering, management, education and agriculture, he said.

"It will also help in developing education sector in Bihar and also brain drain from that state," the official said.

The AISECT is working in the skills development sector for the last 20 years. It has centres in all the districts of the state and had been conferred with the Bihar Innovation Award for its achievements, he said.
