Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa today said that efficient police officers would get prime postings and inefficient offices would be shunted out in a reshuffle by March-end.
He was speaking to reporters after reviewing the law and order situation with the district police officials at the Police Guest House here today.
The government wanted to encourage the meritorious officers by giving them key posts for the improvement of law and order situation, he said.
Pointing out that land grabbing cases were on rise, he said police had been asked to come down heavily on the land grabbers and also the hooch manufacturers.
