Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry, who is on a visit to India to participate in the meeting of the bilateral joint commission, today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The two discussed the shared commitment of India and Egypt to strengthen bilateral engagement, an official statement said.
Deepening of cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, trade and investment and people-to-people relations was discussed, it said.
The minister also conveyed greetings from President Sisi of Egypt.
