Eight caught with question papers of govt exam

Eight persons were arrested from a sub-urban town here while trying to sell duplicate question papers of an examination to recruit agriculture supervisors at Udaipur's Mahrana Bhupal University, police said today.

The examination underwent today but it is yet to be known whether the papers were copied from the original ones, they said.

The gang members, arrested from Kiradod village in Pragpura, were trying to sell the papers for Rs 5 lakh each, SP (Rural) Sanjay Shrotriya said, adding that the mastermind of the gang managed to flee in the last night's raid.

Two luxury cars were also seized, he said.
 

The arrested persons include two drivers, and six gang members.

A case under sections 420 (cheating), 120 B (criminal conspiracy), and 4/6 of Rajasthan Public Service Examination Unfair Means Act was registered against them, the SP said.
