Eight people were killed and 10 others injured when two state transport run buses collided near Tiptur in Karnataka's Tumkur district today, police said.
The dead include drivers of both the buses, one of which was travelling from Bengaluru to Shivamogga and the other was on its way to Tiruvannamalai from Shivamogga via Bengaluru.
Police said both the buses were damaged badly due to the impact of the collision. The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals.
