Eight sentenced for life in murder case

Eight persons were sentenced to life imprisonment by a local court here in a 14-year-old murder case.

Additional Sessions Judge Narendra Kumar Singh held Rajaram, Bade Babu, Ramtej, Nathu Ram Tiwari, Badluram, Umanath, Brijnandan and Dinesh Tiwari guilty yesterday.

While one accused died during trial, case of another is being heard by Juvenile Justice Board.

According to the prosecution, Raj Kumar was shot dead over a property dispute in Khurthuha village in Gilaul area in July 2001.

A case was lodged against ten persons in this regard.
