Eight sentenced to life in double murder case

A local court today sentenced eight persons to life imprisonment in connection with a 15-year-old double murder case.

The District and Sessions Judge, A N Dubey sentenced the eight accused to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10000 each after finding them guilty in the murder of Badri Tanti and his son Manoj Tanti.

They had hacked the father and son to death during a robbery at their house in Sirodhi village under Chandar police station area on April 20, 1999.
