Elderly lady strangulated in UP

A 70-year-old lady was strangulated to death by unknown assailants in Uttar Pradesh's Nagla Bhartiya village.

"Ramvati w/o Bhajan Lal was strangulated and then her ear rings were taken by the assailants," Deputy SP Surendra Yadav said, adding that the murder seemed to be a handiwork of either some relative or a villager.

"A case would be worked out shortly," he said.

The body of the lady has been sent for post-postmortem, police said.
