Elderly man shot dead in UP

An elderly man was shot dead by

unidentified persons in Gangaghat area, police said today.

Jodha (65) was shot dead by unidentified persons outside his house in Dewara village late last night, Circle Officer Manoj Awasthi said.

He said that on being chased by the neighbours, the assailants left their motorcycle and escaped from the spot.

A property dispute could be the reason behind the murder, Awasthi said.
