Electronic goods shop looted in Vasai

Electronic goods and cash worth over Rs 45 lakh were stolen from a shop in Manickpur area of Vasai in the wee hours today, police said.

Some unidentified persons sneaked into the shop, 'Top-10' by breaking open lock at around 5 AM and cleaned out goods and cash worth Rs 45,15,669, said police inspector KS Hegaje of Manickpur police station.

The stolen goods included sophisticated gadgets from international brands besides Rs 3.90 lakh in cash.

A case has been registered against unidentified persons under various sections of IPC, he said.
