A 45-year-old woman was killed by an elephant at Kharikabani village under Garbeta police station in West Midnapore district today, forest department officials said.
Gauri Duley, who went to the field in early morning, was attacked by the jumbo which lifted her with its trunk and flung away.
When Duley was taken to hospital, she was declared dead on arrival, the officials said.
