Ellie Goulding taking break from music

Singer Ellie Goulding is taking a break from creating new music following split with boyfriend Dougie Poynter.

The 29-year-old "Love Me Like You Do" hitmaker took to Twitter to announce her time off the spotlight.

"I am not quitting music, I've come too far for that! Just having a break. It's been seven years since I had time off.... Love you all," she wrote.

The singer had earlier said that past few weeks have been really tough for her and she is planning to take a break.
