A 15-year-old girl from Jharkhand has been rescued from a Vasant Kunj home where she was working as a domestic help and admitted to hospital with knife injuries, while her 50-year-old woman employer was arrested today for assaulting and illegally confining her, police said.
The girl was badly injured and rescued by a joint team of an NGO and police last evening. Medical examination of the girl was conducted, a police officer said.
"There are knife injuries on her head and hand. There is a deep gash on her head as well," police said.

The employer of the teenage domestic help was arrested this morning, they said.
Vandana Dheer, who works with a private firm, was arrested after police filed a case under sections of assault, illegal confinement and bonded labour late last night.
"Yes, she has been arrested," Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) B S Jaiswal told PTI.
She is expected to be produced before a local court later in the day.
A joint team of Delhi police and an NGO Shakti Vahini had rescued the badly battered and scared girl from ground floor of Dheer's residence last evening.
The girl had reportedly told police that she had been working with her employers for the past one year and they used to beat her up almost every day, apparently not happy with her work.
The girl was taken to Safdarjung hospital for medical check up and after the doctor's report, a case was registered against Dheer at 12:30 AM last night.
"An FIR has been lodged under sections 323, 324, 326 and 342 IPC and 16 Bonded Labour Act at Vasant Kunj North police station," Jaiswal had said.
After registration of FIR, police waited till morning to nab the accused as women cannot be arrested at night, a police source said.
