'Empress of Rome' wins main event

'Empress of Rome' ridden by jockey N Rupa and trained by R Foley, won the S Rangarajan Memorial Gold Cup, the chief event of the races held here today.

The winner is owned by Dr M A M Ramaswamy Chettiar of Chettinad Charitable Trust.

Trainer Foley saddled three winners while jockey N Rupa rode three winners.

Four favourites obliged in a card of seven events.
