Encounter between two rival ultra groups in Jharkhand

A fierce encounter took place today between two rival ultra outfits near Phulwaria village in Palamau district bordering Bihar, police said.

The encounter lasted for about three hours between Maoists and Trutiya Prastuti Committee cadres, according to a preliminary report, Dy SP Ajay Kumar said.

Superintendent of Police Y S Ramesh along with adequate security personnel rushed to the spot, Kumar said.

A joint operation with Bihar has been launched to apprehend the militants, he said.
