Engine separates from train in UP

The engine of Jammu-Patna Archana Express separated from the train near Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh today, officials said.

Railway spokesperson Anil Saxena said a coupling fault was found in the engine and the train was immediately stopped.

"There was no derailment. As soon as it was spotted, the engine was replaced. The train was then delayed for a couple of hours for this", he told PTI.

The train departed after clearance, he said.
