Engineer missing after falling into Brahmaputra

An engineer engaged in construction work of a bridge over the Brahmaputra in Sonitpur district went missing after falling into the river from a boat today.

An engineer of a private company, Raminish Kumar, fell into the river when he was going to inspect a pillar by boat near Koliabhumura locality, Superintendent of Police P P Singh said.

A search operation has been launched for the engineer hailing from Bihar, Singh said.
