Engineer with power discom held in bribery case

An assistant divisional engineer working in a power distribution company in Karimnagar district of Telangana was today arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.

"The engineer working at Northern Power Distribution Company Ltd in Godavarikhani of the district was caught red-handed by ACB officials while accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour," an ACB release said here.

After recovering the bribe amount, the accused was arrested. The case is under investigation.
