Two engineering students were killed when their motorcycle plunged into a culvert in Shivdaspura area here, police said today.

Amrit Ujjwal (22) and Aamir Hussain (21) were travelling on the two-wheeler late last night, allegedly in an inebriated condition, and could not see the culvert ahead on the dead-end of the road, sub-inspector Sangram Singh said.

They lost control over their vehicle and fell into the conduit, he said, adding the students died on the spot.

The deceased were third year students at a private engineering college here. Their bodies were handed over to family members today after post mortem, Singh said.
