Ethnic Indian shot dead in Malaysia

An ethnic Indian has been shot dead in front of his family while he was performing prayers at a Hindu temple in Malaysia's southern state of Johor.

K Jaganathan, 37, a cattle breeder, died of several shots to his chest after two men on a motorcycle stopped at the Sri Mahariaman temple and fired at him last evening in Nusajaya in Johor, media reports said.

The victim, who was with a group of 10 people, died on the spot. They were performing special prayers when the incident happened.
