A 20-year-old woman was stabbed at Melamadai area here, allegedly by a person against whom she had lodged an eve-teasing complaint a few days back, police said today.
The woman, who recently got married had lodged a complaint against one Vignesh for frequently teasing her. He had also been warned by police, they said.
Vignesh stabbed her last evening, when she was returning home alone after her duty at a local dental hospital, police said.
The woman has been hospitalised in a serious condition and hunt is on to nab the accused, they said.
